Tony,

I noticed a similar thing on my RS recently.  The top part of the chain
rubbing strip is looking decidedly thin.  As I've got a normal swingarm it
can't be the hub adjuster 'cos I haven't got one.  Personally I reckon it's
just a design fault and the solution is to replace the rubbing strip once
it's shot.
