Rich,
I'd say it's about the same.  My recollection is the GenMars
raise the bars 1.6".  If you go much more than that you'll
probably need to install a longer brake hose.

I feel the same way and am accumulating the parts to convert to
tubular handlebars.  For me, it's not just an issue of height but
also pull back.  I'd be much more comfortable with the grips 1-2"
higher & about 3" further back

I bought HeliBars' adaptors($140), have a longer Trophy brake
hose ordered & hope to start trying different bars soon.  Someone
suggested 'apehangers' would be cool but I'm not so sure. . .

I'll post the results once I get to the project.
