I don't think Triumph can or will "fix" it. From what I understand,
most all motorcycle manufacturers have the speedo's read a little faster
than actual. Don't know if it's some kind of "cover their ass" thing or
what, but it's very common, and I don't think Triumph will address it as
a problem.

I know, you want your Sprint to work right, but short of an invention
called a yellowbox (by some company of dubious credibility), I don't
think there's anything that can be done--and whether the yellowbox would
then screw up your odometer reading is questionable.

I have a sigma bc-800. For $25, I don't consider it a big deal to
add one. It's handy also in that it gives you an average trip speed,
another trip odometer (I reset the ST's to 0 at gas stops, so it's
handy to have a 2nd one to use for total trip mileage--but maybe the RS
already has 2 trip odometers?), max speed, and a couple other not so
useful things.

Maybe you could get Triumph to buy you a BC-800? :)
