I've been running Pirelli GTS tires for the last 3 years on my Sprint ST's.
I've been getting progressivly less and less milage out of them. I think it
has alot to do with the more agressive sport riding I've been getting into.
Case in point, my first set of GTS on the '99 the rear went alittle over
7,000 miles, the front 12k. This last set I burned up a rear in 3200 miles,
and now at 5200 miles the front is pretty well toasted. I'm hesitant to try
anthing else because the wet & dry traction has been great, and I like the
overall feel of these tires. I'd say I went from 50% touring, 35% commuting
and 15% corner carving, to 40% touring, 30% commuting 30% corner carving.
