It's come up before that the left grip seems to be not as warm due to heat
lost to the uninsulated left clip-on.  The right one has that nice hard
plastic tube called a throttle around it, so not as much heat is sunk
right into the metal.  

I'm thinking of installing Kimpex grip heaters under my grips, has anyone
done this that can offer some tips?  Especially with attaching them so
they stay in place firmly and on insulating the left bar, perhaps with
electical tape, heat shrink tubing, or rubberized paint/DAP?
