Keith, I've run 2800 miles since my last oil change in my '00 RS.  Based on
what you're being told, I'd have already lost almost 3 quarts.  I just
checked and the level is still hovering around the top line.  If I've lost
anything, without draining and measuring, I'll guess less than 1/2 quart in
2800 miles.  It's certainly not visible in the window.  Oh, I'm upright on
the tyres, no centre stand.
