Mine leaks a little too; if you have a lot of stuff in the top box, the two
strings holding the lid tend to get caught in the seals and make them leak.
I now close the lid by pulling gently on the strings, to make sure they are
out of the seals.

You could also check where the joints are in the gaskets.  Perhaps you can
move the joint towards the rear of the bike to reduce water ingress.  If you
have the back pad, you will need to seal the holes for the back pad screws.
I believe others on the list have used silicone sealant on the hinges and
other places, but I have never bothered as I always use plastic bags or a
rucksack inside the top box.  Anyway, it's nice to have the only bike in
town with its own swimming pool!
