I spotted a new entry in the summer jacket war last night at the local
shop, it's a FirstGear and looks like the fabric is a bit better than the
Phoenix, it's tighter, doesn't stretch when you pull on it, etc. and is in
the $150 ballpark.  

I *still* don't trust these jackets, that is, until a test is done.  Where
the hell is MCN when you need 'em to do an article.  Get some 10lb bags of
sand and drag 'em in these jackets like they did in the jeans test.  

Inquiring minds want to know, and until they do, go carefully in this
stuff.
