How about...............

A week ago I was on my way to local shop to get a new front (rear was
replaced about 2k mi ago). 1 traffic light away from shop.....I ran outta
gas (note to self: get that damn fuel gauge fixed before upcoming long
trip). When I pushed bike to side of street to park and walk to shop, I
noticed that rear tire was flat w/nasty nail in tread. (had noticed leaving
previous traffic light handling had gotten kinda weird).

I feel your pain.
