RE: [ST] Hope your Friday is better than this.

I don't have a Scottoiler, and I am not in a panic. I think those things are
too messy, and lubricating my chain manually is really simple, and safe.

If you like the oiler, good for you. Me, I have little faith in something
that could potentially dump huge amounts of lubricant right near my rear
tire. And I have seen that happen too many times to other friends. Moreover,
the silver wheels on my RS would be constantly covered in grunge, something
I abhor.

I prefer being able to choose which lube I use, choices are much more
limited with using an automatic oiler. Applying lubricant manually also
forces me to keep a close watch on adjustment and condition of the chain,
something easy to forget when you don't have to lube it often. YMMV

Happens to mine sometimes. First time it happened, heart rate subsided
after I realised that it was chain lube. Once I adjusted the flow on the
Scottoiler, problem went away. If you don't have Scttoiler, my only advice
is ...panic!! :-(
