Well, Steve, my friend, one of the prices you pay for a "cool" running
engine, is lots of heat *leaving* the engine bay via the ducts. Simple
psychics really. :]
Seriously, there is not a lot you can do about it. Some remove the belly
pan to let heat escape that way, but I personally think that leaves the bike
looking a little, ahhhhhh, "unfinished".
My best advice, is to wear heavier pants. Like leathers or even Kevlar
reinforced jeans, like "Draggin Jeans" and the like. It's what I wear and
the heat never bothers me, and I ride here in 110F Texas.
Besides you really *should* be wearing the protection. Take my word for it,
leathers have saved my hyde.
