[ST] Blind spot mirror

In an effort to minimise the ST's mirror blind spot and on the advice of
other listers, I went and blew a whole US$0.40 on a 50mm (2") round blind
spot (convex?) mirror. Where is the best place to put it? Top RH corner of
outside (for us in Oz right side) mirror? Bottom LH corner of inside mirror?
etc etc. There are eight possible positions. Ten if you stick it in the
middle!
