I'm about to do the 12K + Y2 service myself as well...

I've bought the fuel hose extender kit (Triumph Genuine Part T3880127 -
GBP35.00 before tax) to alleviate the problem. This comprises two extension
hoses and an extension wire for the fuel pump.

[NB. The extender 'kit' is P/N ...127. Each of the hoses is tagged ...128.]
