Re: [ST] Oil filters, etc

I pay $12.95 for the screw-on oil filter on my RS from my local dealer. I
believe another dealer 90mi away charges $14.95.

I notice prices vary alot on parts depending on where you call, and it's not
just motorcycle parts, it's cage parts as well. When I got my clutch cable
Fed-X'd from Orange County Triumph, their price was low enough that even
with shipping it came out $3.95 less than if I purchased it locally with
sales tax. Go Figure?

Small items like an oil filter are probably not worth shopping around for
unless you have several dealers close enough to ride to, but on more
expensive items like clutch cable, body parts, tires, etc. it's worth
shopping around in this global economy to find a bargin even with shipping.
I'm buying my hopefull gonna get Macadem 100X tires ($98 Front, $102rear w/
$12total shipping) if I can find the damn paper I wrote the information on!
>From what I can tell that's a great deal.
