Charlie,

I suspect you're riding the ST at a canter, and saving the gallop for the
Ducs.

It depends on how heavy your right hand is, but I've yet to see more than
about 3k out of an AV36(R) and about 5-6k out of an AV39(F)!

Regards the repair or replace issue, we don't have the choice here in the
UK. There's a ruling (BS AU 159) that says:

"No tyre may be repaired if ... the speed rating is above V."

This is why some manufacturers (e.g. Avon) offer a replacement warranty
(here) for the first 1mm of life.
