I'll check into that. What, exactly, is a TIG welder?

I'll have to take a closer look at it as I was a little too pissed
yesterday. Hopefully, my imagination is just playing tricks on me. I seem to
remember seeing a hole and a couple of cracks protruding from the top and
bottom. But maybe its just the hole. I'm really leery about doing a repair
on this, since any failure will guarantee a nasty crash.

Chris,

I agree --  Find a good man with a TIG and he can fix you up.  I had a 
cracked cylinder head repaired on a bike and it's still working fine. 
 An oil pan should be a piece of cake.
