[ST] Leaking Fuel Connector

Recently, whilst in the middle of nowhere (as usual), I pulled into a gas station
to fill up and I noticed fuel dripping from the rear of the motor. It stopped
after a few seconds but when I turned the ignition and the pressure built up
in the fuel lines it started again. Great. Stuck in hicksville with a fuel
leak. Anyhow the end of a very long story was that the plastic fuel connector
on the return line, where it joins onto the tank, had a small crack in it, which
turned into a big crack when I wiggled it! The Triumph dealer tells me it's
a common problem on Sprints as they only make the fuel lines *just* long enough
and if some Homer at the shop doesn't put your tank back on the *right* way
after a service then the added strain on the plastic fitting eventually leads
to it cracking. So what's the long term solution guys? Do I carry a pocket
full of those fittings - just in case? Or does anyone know of a replacment
fitting made of something sturdier?

Thanks,
Michael.
