RE: [ST] Arrrrgh! Whack! Whack! Whack!

I was wondering the same thing. The only time I've dropped my RS at speed
(about 15-20 mph), I was on new BT-020's and they weren't quite warmed up.
They had only 25 miles on them, but I'd been *very* gently increasing lean
angle.

Entering a left just as I had done a right, nice and easy. Mid-corner, the
rear lost traction very slowly, but I was too leaned to save it by any
action at all. JL Triumph was more than happy to sell me replacement panels
for the whole rear section (it spun on the LH footpeg and bumped into a
grass berm, cracking all 3 pcs), the LH fron panel, footpeg, shifter, and
turn indicator.

I now run Metzeler Sportec M-1's exclusively. MUCH more predictable t*re.
