RE: Re[2]: [ST] Arrrrgh! Whack! Whack! Whack!

I went through 3 complete sets of the BT-020's, and think they're a good
reliable tire. I never had any problems with them other than the excessive
scrub-in time, owing to the copious amounts of mold-release agent they use.
I also found their wet-traction characteristics to be better than the D205
Dunlop I had run on my Suzuki Katana. Mileage from the BT-020 was a
consistent 8,000 miles, and front and rear wore out very evenly for me.

However, one tends to lose confidence in a tire once you've "kissed
pavement" with them, and that is the case for me. The M-1's have MUCH better
grip, equal (or better) wet traction, and only at the cost of 4,500 mile
rear, 7,000 mile fronts. I'm on my 3rd rear, 2nd front with the M-1's. Still
quite happy with the choice and small sacrifice of wear. They (Metzeler
Sportec M-1) cost a wee bit more to run, but it's a fair exchange FOR ME.
