Jerks as they are, I find it completely reprehensible that someone would
post their phone number on the web.  It taints an otherwise completely
redeeming story.

I guess it goes to show you that there are jerks in cages (the hit-and-run
driver) and there are jerks on bikes, too (anyone who took it upon
themselves to call these people).
