i think Brad has a pretty good aproximation here [though at 0 K, hydrogen
would be pretty much a solid - we better stick with about 21 K] ]. to
avoid hydrogen embrittlement of the valve stem, i would go with an inert
gas - helium has several attractive qualities. on the other hand, the
molecule N2 is somewhat larger, not to mention cheaper, and would outgas
less through the tire wall. for economy's sake, maybe an 80% mixture with
O2 would work ok.
