Rather have monster torque at 40mph than unusable HP at 140
Best admixture of high-performance and comfort available (for the price)
Modern engine w/ 12,000mi valve adjustment interval
Good cruising range / bag options
Not squidly -- got a driveby warning flash from Mr CHP for ~75 in a 50 
zone a while back
Looks bitchin' [twin headlights, swing-arm], especially in BRG
2-year mfr warrantee
Nice to ride something underappreciated by the hoi polloi
Cheap to insure ($460/yr w/ State Farm)
Very competent Triumph dealer in my area
