RE: [ST] Light Guards
Kevin,
I have some light guards that I bought from my dealer (California
BMW-Triumph in Mountain View, CA, USA). I have no idea who makes them (I
forgot), but they are essentially, 20 mil scotchcal, same stuff as the paint
protector stuff advertised on www.triumphnet.com, only much thicker. I
don't know if I've needed them or not because my lights are intact. I guess
if the stuff is working, you may never know, eh?
I have found no discernable reduction in lighting.
If I remember correctly, the kit (two cut-outs of scotchcal) was ~16 USD.
If I were to look into this again, I'd simply go searching for a good
wholesale source of scotchcal, get a 1 sq-meter sheet of the 20-mil stuff,
and do my car, too.
Obviously I can't vouch for the vendor or product you've found...so good
luck if you go with them.
