You betcha if you want to ride year round. It can get down to freezing at
night here in Seattle.
Perhaps *you* can ride in the rain in 35 degree weather w/o heated grips,
but personally my hands freeze and I hate having to pull over frequently to
warm 'em up against the engine block.
