Re: [ST] Bring on the cold!!!...this enough?

28.6A @ 6000 rpm, 14V.

my zx-11 pumps out 28.6A @ 6000 rpm, 14V. So peak
watts = 400.4 watts.

Now that's while the battery is getting a charge from
the alternator of

course (14v) and at peak charge 6,000 RPM. So just
estimating here...

28.6v/6000RPM = x/4000RPM, x=19.04v @ 4,000 RPM

and

28.6v/6000RPM = x/3000RPM, x=14.3v @ 3,000 RPM

so...

Watts = Amps x Volts

Watts @ 4,000RPM = 266.84 Watts

or...

Watts @ 3,000RPM = 200.2 Watts

- - 60 watt headlight (on high)
- - 42 watts tailights (21 each)
- - 24 watts heated grip kit on high
- - 50 watts homemade heated vest (buid to meet heat
needs, may draw less)

= 24.2 Watts left over. with 200.2 Watt system @ 3,000
RPM or 90.84 left using 266.84 Watts to start with @
4,000RPM.

Can someone check my math here and make sure I took
everything into consideration? Is 24.2 watts left to
charge the battery correct? Or should I be doing this
all based off the Ameperage?

(W = A x V)
(24.2 = A x 14v)
(A = 1.73 amps to charge battery?)

Thanks,

Bryce
