Ok so it's off-topic, but It'd be very cool to have
another biker at work and I figured helping out anyone
on the list is a good thing.

JOB DESCRIPTION

UNIX Systems Engineers work closely with senior
Systems Engineers and to manage dual-site production
data center systems for FactSet's mainframe based
online information service.  Flexible scheduling and
24x7 on-call availability is a must, since system
upgrades and maintenance are frequently performed
weekends and outside of normal business hours.

Candidate must work well with others (i.e. support
UNIX Developers and Application Managers), and must
have demonstrated competency with all aspects of
Solaris administration  (ie. NIS+, NFS, automount,
network attached storage, backup, VxVM, VxFS, raid,
DiskSuite,
HTTP, FTP, LPD, SMTP, TCP/IP, CSH, SH, PERL, CRON,
performance monitoring, kernel performance tuning,
security, hardware trouble shooting, vendor relations,
capacity planning, documentation, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:

?	Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years
experience managing Sun Enterprise and/or Workgroup
servers.  
?	Strong  knowledge of the Solaris/Unix operating
system and systems programming is a must. 

DESIRED SKILLS:

?	Knowledge of Veritas Netbackup, Storage Area
Networks, Network Appliance, and STK tape libraries.  
?	Financial industry experience would be of additional
value.
?	General programming experience and familiarity with
the latest Sun based computer systems.
