Re: [ST] Double posts

I know I'm responding to an old post (9/26), but ...

It wasn't me this time, even though this is close to the anniversary of when
my office server went crazy and hammered this and other lists.

Even though the ghost of that problem has long been eradicated, I made a
promise to Eric Sheley that I wouldn't resubscribe (ever) from that account.
This is the main reason that, for the past year, I've been mostly lurking.
Although I can find minutes here and there to steal during the day allowing
me to read mail, by the time I get home at night I'm too tired and fed up
with sitting in front of a computer to be bothered. So the ST mail piles
up, and up, and eventually (like today) I go in to read a backlog of 600-800
messages.

I return to lurking, and responding to month-plus old messages.

P.S. Just found a good general motorcycle mechanic (not Triumph specific,
so there's some things he can't do) that is charging only $35 per hour. He
just finished a major tuneup on SWMBO's 1986 Nighthawk 450. We'll pick it
up this afternoon. With the weather having finally cooled in FL, we'll both
be riding more now. :-)
