I just purchased my first Triumph and I love it. It's
a '00 Sprint RS.
I was wondering if anyone has reduced a tooth on the
front sprocket? If so, how does it feel and where did
you get one?
>>
It feels great. Especially if you go to 45 on the
rear or 17 on the front. (Stock is 19/43). You can
get either an 18 or a 17 from Triumph. I think most
liSTeRS will tell you to shop at Jack Lilley's. You
can also get all kinds of sprockets from
www.sprocketspecialists.com. I have a Triumph 18 on
the front and a Sprocket Specialists aluminum 45 on
the rear. I got the aluminum because it was the only
one SS had but it has over 14K miles and still looks
fine.
BTW, nice bike!
