They're sure they get their sales tax....that's f'sure! :(  Why is it if I
trade in a bike and get 8,000 bucks in trade, I only pay sales tax on the
diff of the new 11,000 minus 8,000 or 3,000 bucks..  But, if I sell that
same trade in bike to my buddy for 9,000....I get taxed on the entire new
purchase!  If I can prove the funds are being re-used to purchase another
vehilce I shouldn't have to!  No wonder they were chuckin tea in the harbor
up in Boston! :)
