RE: [ST] rear spring pre-load: clicks and turns

It seems to me that one turn equals one revolution. If you take a socket to
the adjuster and rotate the driver's handle one full revolution, you'll hear
two clicks.

That's how I've always set my suspension up.

Subject: [ST] rear spring pre-load: clicks and turns

Can listers please confirm if one click equals half a turn for the rear
spring pre-load, i.e. the ST's standard settings should be 12 turns out from
fully screwed in, which equals 24 clicks. I checked the archives and in some
messages clicks and turns seem to be synonymous, while in others they are
differentiated.

I ask because I always thought that one turn equals two clicks, but in the
UK's MCN Aug 28 suspension special they state that the ST's standard
setting is 12 clicks and their pro riders recommended 7, 9 and 10 clicks
for 14, 12 and 10 stone riders respectively. Which makes me think that
there might be a lot of British riders bouncing around the roads this
weekend!

Either that or I have been riding a wallowing monster for 18 months!
