I can't imagine that being beneficial to any engine. Properly designed
engines will not be harmed by trips to the redline after they're
thouroughly warmed-up, though.
Still, the bearings and cylinder walls have just so many cycles of life
in them and higher RPM accumulates cycles faster. Is the wear, after
warm-up, significant enough for you to see a definite loss of life? I
doubt it.
