Interesting possibilities guys...how is the stock or normal setup of the
eccentric adjuster spotted?  Is the axle normally above the centerline or
below? 

While I did have the wheel off for new rubber in June, and replaced the
chain/sprox shortly there after, I was not intentially trying to lower the
bike as I've heard some folks do by rotating the adjuster.  Perhaps the
manual shows default config...

I don't think the shock is blown Blake, or I'd have been able to sack it
out by pulling down on the tail while someone else was sitting on it,
dontcha think? Hmmm. 

I did note some difficulty centering it Sunday, may be something to that!
