That's why I like this group - it never ceases to remind me how stupid or
senile I'm getting. Thank you Dave for reminding me that the flashing red
LED meant poor connection and not the "almost-fully-charged" point I'd been
assuming (I hadn't used it since winter, and had just plain forgotten).
Well, I knew it wasn't a pos. neg. thing since I charge through my
accessory socket. I checked the fuse and it was fine. Hooked my heated
jacket to the socket - no power. Looked at the back of the accessory
socket with a flashlight/torch and saw that it had become disconnected.
Replaced the plug and now everything is fine. Ah well, you live and learn;
it only cost me $60 for a new battery!
