RE: [ST] Metzeler Sportecs

While I'm sure the Sportecs are great tires, most
modern day tires of the sport-touring nature provide
better grip and better wear characteristics than those
of racers a decade or two ago. Most tires today if
you have the skill level to do so, will allow you to
scrape all sorts of things well before your reach the
limit of the tire. So in my particular case I go for
the better wearing sport-touring Bt020s and keep a
smooth line through the corners with my heffer of a
zx-11d and head off for smooth sailing. I have every
confidence in the tire I ride on, if I didn't, I, like
you, would be opting for something more confidence
inspiring but in the end I believe it all comes down
to how smooth you can be in the corners and your
control over the bike.
