I wonder if the rotor on the rear is slightly warped, so it scuffs the pads?
It's better supported than the front rotors, but perhaps it was tweaked some
time when you had a rear tyre changed.  A warped rotor ought to feel hot if
it's constantly rubbing the pads though?
