Chris, looking at your pictures, I would also look to see if the caliper on
that one side is seized. It could be as you say, that it was over oiling
with the Scottoiler, but it's worth checking after a couple hundred miles to
see if they scrub in at all. You do mention that they feel mushy and won't
lock the rear.
