Triumph *do* have a specific running in oil. It is part number: A9650010
(and you can find it on Triumph's web site). I would be surprised if it is
synthetic though for all the reasons that are stated across most motorcycle
groups. After the 500 mile break-in service, I believe this is exchanged
for fully synthetic (seems a little early to me for fully synthetic but
hey, what do I know).
My ex-demo bike has no record of this being done, although the dealer
assures me it was. It does show an oil & filter change at 1000 miles when I
picked it up. I have no way of verifying that was the first or second oil
change the bike received.
