Welcome to the fold Rupert!  You've found a good resource here, and I see
you're already getting good advice.

I would definitely bleed the brakes, do enough to renew the fluids
entirely while you're at it since you just got the bike and may not know
how it was cared for.  As others mentioned clean the pistons and see where
you are, should be an improvement.

Personally I like the Bridgestone BT-020's, especially in the wet which
I've seem to been in alot lately.  And I have been using the Mobil 1 for
Triumph since I squeeze every bit of 6k out of it between changes, but am
prolly changing to MX4 next.
