Its not a particularly tricky install, so I can't offer any really good 
tips. As Erik pointed out, you can install the shock by removing the 
gas tank, or by swinging the rear subframe up and out of the way. I did 
the install via the subframe, but consequently remove the tank if I 
need to adjust the compression setting. (The rebound adjuster is 
accessible without removing anything, and, obviously, the remote 
pre-load adjuster is easy to get to, too.)
