Strange you mention that...
The RS 's predecessor, a 900 Trident, was laid up for the same reasons. I
decided my back was "better" and gave the bike a look over before I took it
out. For some reason I looked at the air filter and in the airbox was the
remains of a mouse nest with most available space taken up with nesting
material and food stuff. Nothing appeared to have been chewed so just
hoovered it out and all was OK.
Took the RS from Norwich to Colchester yesterday, a trip of around 120
miles and had no real problems There was a slight hesitancy and wooliness at
one point when lost in Colchester trying to negotiate the thousands of
pointless traffic islands, which were no doubt, installed to control traffic
flow by bringing it to a complete standstill . Probably works 'cause I am in
no rush to return though I am glad I went on the bike instead of the car.
Maybe a decent run helped clear its lungs a bit!
The bike is overdue a decent service and I will get one sorted ASAP.
