That's assuming it is indeed a v4. I've heard that it could actually be
a v5...?

No one ever loved the Honda V4 VF1000 Interceptor more than
me;... I'll never part with the one I bought new in '84. Having said
that, I probably wouldn't go for a new one. The transverse triple
(and also the fours) allow the rider to be placed further forward,
thus weightbiasing the front wheel and allowing a steeper rake with
quicker, more effortless, more precise handling. A new V4 VFR1000
would very likely require the rider to sit on the gas cap to make it
handle,... like a BMW.
