[ST] August 2003 Issue of Motorcyclist, what gives?

I think the ST more than holds it's own against the VFR. But the Futura and Ducati ST4s appear to be the current darlings of the press in the sport-touring (heavy on the sport) class. Personally, I don't think the Futura has all that much over the ST, and the Duc is much more expensive and too hard edged.

That said, I agree that the ST could use some freshening up. A fully adjustable suspension and a few extra ponies at the same (or lower!) weight would probably help move it back to the head of the class. And include the hardbags in the base price!
