err... dunc, my ST came with a TWO year warranty ;O)
Perhaps extend it to three (matching BMW's) ?

That's what I was thinking. I think poor ol' STeve is confused. Must have
been a Wal-Mart bag nearby. Other than that I pretty much agree with what
he said. The seat never really bothered me, other than it broke down at 18k
miles.

My odometer is damn near spot-on while the speedo reads 10% fast.
WTF is this all about???

What that is all about is the Federal gov't looking out for your well being.
They actually mandate speedometers read high, and should never, ever, under
any circumstances, take a chance, of ever(get the point) read slower than
you are actually going. So manufacturers got in the habit of setting
speedo's to read faster than actual speed. Personally I've gathered 3
speeding tickets on new Triumphs, 2 on the '99 I owned. Each one was
written for what I was doing, speed wise, when I saw the cop. So all this
hub-bub about NEEDING to know your absolute true speed doesn't figure for
me. The only persons perception of my speed I'm concerned about is my
own(which I get from the actual motion, not the gauge most of the time) and
the policeman who wishes to lighten my wallet in the interest of keeping me,
and the world, safe from speeding people.
