This came up on the Triumph Digest last spring. At that time I
forwarded the question to a friend who has removed his. Here's
his reply:

Rick,
The decal itself comes off rather easily (with a blow drier to
warm it slightly) by picking up a corner with your fingernail and
gently pulling it. It works better if you bend the peeled part
completely over 180 degrees and pull it back on itself. If you
just pull it up and away from the bike, it tends to keep ripping
off in little pieces.
It's the glue residue that's the problem: Use isopropyl alcohol
or any mild sticker-removal product and rub gently but
consistently with a soft cloth. A blow drier helps to soften the
glue. Don't use a heat gun!! If you're careful, using your
fingernail to scrape off the softened glue helps, but be careful
not to scratch the paint!!
It's looks better with the sticker off, in my opinion. and BTW,
I was able to get the script "Sprint" decal from the first
generation of this bike [~'96 model] and put it on in place on
the fairing.
Just a thought!
