RE: [ST] GPS Recommendations

I have had a bike mounted GPS (Garmin eMap) for about 3 years. For the first
year or so, I was paranoid about getting it rained on, but as time has
passed I have become less careful.
I have gotten the thing rained on hard several times, rode through several
rainstorms on a week long camping trip through Colorado this June, rode
through Afton Canyon Wash when the water was deep enough to soak it
thoroughly, and never had a problem. They are pretty sturdy, I reckon.

I think if you're obsessive/compulsive, you can carry a ziploc bag and put
it on as needed, but I have found they're not really necessary. You can't
argue with experience! :-)

Thanks
CA Stu
