I understand your problem (I think). When I first start riding, or after a stop, I 
usually have some difficultly getting into the rhythm. I find it helps to start out 
slow, then gradually work up to my normal pace.
I recommend slowing down, well off your usual pace, when you fell you have 
lost the rhythm, day or night.
