Trevor,
There have been lots of disparaging remarks concerning fuel gauge
function. Here's my analysis: I typically travel 100 mi or so
(~160km) before the needle starts to move, another 50 mi (80km)
to the gauge's mid-mark and another 50 to the top of the red zone
when the low fuel light comes on. So if you consider the gauge's
top (full) mark to be 1/2 tank, and the mark at mid-gauge to be
1/4 tank, things begin to make sense.
