RE: [ST] fuel gauge

Thanks to Don and Marcus. This is the first bike I have owned with a gauge and I believed them to be more a novelty than a useful item. Out of an 18 litre tank on my Aprilia, I would get 270K's before the fuel light, then look to fill up. I believe I can look forward to longer distances between Fuel Stops with the ST. The blurbs say theoretical range of 390 Klm's but you know blurbs :-), been known for their strategic misrepresentation of the truth.

Cheers,

Trevor

Subject: [ST] fuel gauge

Yes, in my experience, and with all the ST owners I've talked to, the fuel
gauge is notoriously inaccurate. What I've done to compensate is to play
this little mental game:
When the gauge shows full, in my mind I pretend it's telling me it's
half-full. And when the gauge actually shows half-full, I pretend it's
telling me it's quarter-full, and I start looking for a gas station.
