[ST] Double Damn!

Yesterday I had a nice ride to my cousin's house.  While there I decided to 
check my tire pressure.

While inflating the rear tire, the little valve pin wouldn't close for 
nothing and all the air kept coming out.  I tried several things to close it 
but no go.  Any ideas on how to adjust that little bugger so it closes 
again?
Damn!

I also noticed a little oil dripping from the bike - never noticed any oil 
underneath the bike before, so it may be a new leak, maybe not.  And I can't 
find my manual anywhere.  Does anyone know exactly where on the site glass 
the min/max oil levels are?  Also, can I presume that since no idiot light 
went on that there was atill a bit of oil in there and my engine isn't 
ruined?
Double Damn!

Any suggestions are appreciated, as I would like to avoid having to have my 
bike towed from Everett to Olympia (80-90 mile trip).

Lastly... I have 10,600 miles on the bike.  How soon before 12,000 would it 
be OK to have the 12k service done, and any idea on what the cost should be?
