Maybe a lot of riders you hang out with and meet should be given more
credit, but there are people out there that buy a motorcycle as a toy
and don't care a lot about it's specs, same with cages.  I'm thinking
specifically of a guy I met that bought his ST solely because he saw
Triumphs in MI2 and wanted one.  (Not sure why he didn't get the
Daytona--maybe the folks at the dealer were sane enough to talk him out
of that bike at least, since he had pretty much no riding experience.)
